Rum - made by distilling fermented molasses or sugar cane juice - is an easy-to-drink and easy-to-blend sweet spirit.

White rums are aged in oak casks or stainless steel tanks, then filtered for their clear color and clean, light flavor. Golden rums are smooth, medium-bodied and are aged for a longer time in oak casks. Dark rums are rich and full-bodied, aging in charred oak and developing complex flavors such as caramel, coffee, tobacco and dark chocolate. Spiced rums can be white, golden or dark and are enhanced with spices or fruit flavors.
